Racing Post Greyhound TV (Sky Channel 212, or Freesat Channel 402) host two excellent greyhound racing cards this evening from Monmore and Hove. The show begins at 7.15pm and runs right the way through till 10.45pm. This free to air channel now shows greyhound racing four nights a week, Wednesday to Saturday! Both venues stage twelve race cards, with nine open races at Hove, and just the one at Monmore. Here are our two best bets of the evening.
The ladbrokes.com 630 final sees a rematch between Aghaburren Paddy and Afew Dollarsmore after their clash here last week where the Charlie Lister trained runner got the better of Afew Dollarsmore by the shortest of margins. I feel that the draw could definitely make all the difference this evening with Afew Dollarsmore now in the red jacket. Chris Allsopp’s dog is capable of trapping a little better than on that occasion and I can see him blasting out the traps and reversing the form tonight. Take the 2/1 on offer with William Hill.
The Nap of the night goes in the 9:24pm at Hove where I think Princess Pati looks a good thing to follow up last week’s impressive victory. The Norah McEllistrim trained bitch clocked a time of 28.89 and should be able to build on that here. I’m surprised any firms go as big as 3/1 but that is the price that William Hill have chalked this runner up at. The chief danger is likely to come from Vivendi Blue who was a little unlucky in running last time but should bounce back.
