Thursday night’s Racing Post Greyhound TV action comes from both Henlow and Hove. To watch tonight’s live dog racing, simply tune in on Sky Channel 231, or Freesat Channel 402. The show begins at 7.15pm, with the first live race going off at 7.25pm. The last event of the evening is the 10.26 from Hove. Both cards include 12 races and there are a total of 19 open races for punters to get stuck into.
19:54 Henlow
A very decent sprint race here over 277m, the Easter Dash will definitely be a fast and furious contest. The betting is headed by the two dog Funny Lari. William Hill make this greyhound a 5/4 chance which for me is a little on the skinny side on the back of a couple of fairly disappointing runs. He didn’t run a bad race over course and distance to finish third last time but he was poor at Romford earlier last month and I think the value lies with trap four, the Eric Cantillon trained Blackrose George. He’s more than capable over this course and distance and although the four dog might not have the ideal draw, I think he can get away from five and six early and is value at the 7/2 mark with William Hill
22:03 Henlow
My old friend Ballymac William is out again and I definitely think he’s a value bet at 6/4 with Betfred. Elsewhere, Dean Childs’ runner is only even money which is more the like the price I was expecting. With a very nice draw in trap one, the multiple course and distance winner should be very hard to beat. The obvious danger comes from the five dog, Blackrose Bullet. Although his form is fairly consistent at this level, Eric Cantillon’s dog just doesn’t win enough races for me and at the prices, trap one is the greyhound to be one in this particular contest.
