Platinumlancelot ran a hurdle trial over 256 metres at Wimbledon this past Tuesday in a time of 15.56sec which is an incredible 16 spots inside the record currently held by Suit Man.
Jason Foster’s charge was having a prep for his tilt at the Irish Grand National but I doubt even he was expecting a performance of this magnitude.
The head of the Platinum Racing syndicate Brad Russell, said: “He’s broken the track record by two lengths off his bed. What more could you ask for?”
Trainer Foster plans to run his greyhound again at Wimbledon next Wednesday over two bends prior to a four-bend hurdle run a week later.
The Vetsearch Irish Grand National takes place on 30th October at Harolds Cross over a trip of 525m. There is 24,000 Euros on offer to the winner.
