The Sky Sports cameras head to Romford this Tuesday evening for a cracking night of greyhound racing action, the highlight of which being the final of the Coronation Cup. All the action can be seen live on Sky Sports 2 from 7pm, with the £5,000 Coral Coronation Cup Final going off at 9:08pm. The Mark Wallis trained Adageo Bob put a poor performance in the opening round of the competition well and truly behind him with an impressive display when winning his semi final last week, and is now available at a best price of 10/11 with Paddy Power to land this prestigious prize. This greyhound has talent in abundance, and was the ante post favourite prior to the competition getting under way.
While I feel that Adageo Bob is the best dog in the race, his numbers don’t make this greyhound a bet for me this evening. I am however keen on the chances of Farneys Cookie who has been underestimated by the bookies here. Kevin Boon’s runner is available at odds of 10/1 with Betfred, and that looks like a superb each way punt. Although he was beaten by Adageo over course and distance back in December, Farneys Cookie didn’t have a lot of luck in running on that particular occasion, and there is no way he should he should be ten points bigger than the favourite.

Having been in fine form in recent weeks, I can see now reason to oppose the Paul Young trained Bubbly Rocket in this 400m contest. Arriving here off the back of two victories in open company at Hove, Bubbly Rocket has the best of the draw in trap one this evening and should have no problem confirming the form with Putyourfootdown, who he bested by three and a quarter lengths two starts back.

This is arguably the most intriguing race on the card for me, and it will be very interesting to see how Geelo Vegas performs after two very promising recent trials over course and distance. The four dog seems to be able too handle the step up in trip on the evidence of those two efforts, and should go well. Geelo Vegas does however need to get the better of a couple of course and distance specialists in the shape of Dower Matt and Evanta Fantasy if he is going to win this event. The two dog caused a bit of a surprise at the weekend when beating kennel mate Aayamzaone and she would have a huge chance here if repeating that effort. I’m personally going with Ernie Gaskin’s consistent sort Dower Matt to get back to winning ways after a couple of sub standard runs. The three dog easily dispatched Evanta Fantasy over C&D on December 12th, and I fancy his handler will have freshened the dog up for this race. Take the stand out price of 11/4 on offer with bet365.
