Henlow takes centre stage this evening, with the first round heats of the £10,000 RPGTV Derby making up the bulk of their card. The RPGTV show gets under way at 6:15pm, with the first race at 6:30pm. All the action can be seen live on Sky channel 212, Freesat channel 401. Here are our best bets for Sunday 12th October.
7:15pm Henlow
This maiden race is to be run over the 460m trip and there looks to be a stand out bet, albeit at relatively short odds. Perry Barr raider Nans Top Boy has some bits and pieces of form which are head and shoulders above the rest of the field. Since making the switch from Ireland, Joseph Scanlon has been bringing this greyhound along slowly, and looks to have found a decent opportunity for him tonight. Nans Top Boy’s last couple of trials have been solid and he should take all the beating from trap five tonight. Mark Wallis’ Evanta Van Gough would be the danger on form but doesn’t have the greatest of draws out in six.

I was slightly surprised that Charlie Lister’s Sidaz Jack hadn’t been put in as favourite here and odds of 5/2 on offer with Betfair make plenty of appeal. Although he was beaten last time out, I felt that Sidaz came out of the race with plenty of credit and was just unfortunate to come up against the talented Blonde Razor on a going day. The three dog can boss this field and go through to the next stage of the competition with a win under his belt. 5/2 looks like a massive price to me.
