Hall Green Greyhound Stadium Sadly Closes it’s Doors
Although this has been on the cards for quite some time now, Hall Green Greyhound Stadium officially closed. Having hosted greyhound racing since way back in 1927, the Birmingham track was one of the most popular with dog racing fans up and down the country, and the closure has been met with real sadness throughout the greyhound racing community. What does the closure of Hall Green Stadium mean for the sport?
Hall Green Stadium should have been celebrating its 90th birthday later this year but instead, the lids will go up for the last time at the end of July before the bulldozers move in. Built on a farm in 1927, the Birmingham venue has been a regular for lovers of greyhound racing for close to a century and has witnessed many special nights in the sport.
