Romford's live meeting on Sky last night saw the Jimmy Wright trained Droopys Hester take the £10,000 Coral Champion Stakes Final. Although involved in a bit of bumping at the first bend, the 11/8 favourite managed to hold off the fast finishing Westmead Maldini by a short head. Go Big Hitter Takes Champion
Go Big Hitter was a well backed winner of the £10,000 Coral Champion Stakes at Romford last night. Having been backed from an early price of 9/4 into 5/4, Dean Childs runner won by 4 lengths in a time of 35.64sec. Eventual 3rd placed dog Bubbly Rambo led early but Go Big Hitter soon powered past to lead going round the first bend. Westmead Tina plugged on at one pace past Bubbly Rambo to finish in 2nd.
