Friday night’s second round St Leger heats at Wimbledon saw Crown River score a hard fought victory from Kinda Easy in a time of 40.66sec. Jimmy Wright’s runner scored by three-quarters-of-a-length and is currently a 4/1 chance to take the St Leger title.
The 2nd heat of the evening saw a big upset with Seamies Gambler scoring at 16/1. Even money favourite Droopys Zach was a head behind in 2nd spot.
Masterful made sure the 3rd heat of the evening went to script winning comfortably by three and a quarter lengths in a time of 40.72secs.
In the 4th and final heat of the night, 4/6f Corrig Vieri was dumped out of the competition when he could only finish 4th behind Lorrys Options.
