We are in store for some cracking greyhound racing tonight on RPGTV with meetings from both Romford and Sunderland. All thirteen races on the Romford card are open contests and the bookies have priced up four races at this early stage and those are the one’s I’ll be concentrating on. The show begins at 7:15pm and runs to 10:45pm and can be seen on Sky channel 212 as well as Freesat channel 401. Here are our best bets for this evening.
8:50pm Romford
An open contest for bitches over the 400m trip, this looks like being quite a competitive heat. Belle Vue raider Satin Diva heads the betting at odds of 9/4 with Betfred (7/4 elsewhere). She won in good style in an open race at Peterborough last time and is one from one here over the course and distance, clocking an excellent 24.04 in the process. I think Satin Diva is a value price at 9/4 and could well be shorter by the off. The Mark Wallis trained Domino Storm in trap one looks like the biggest danger to the selection. Her victory here in May gives her solid claims.

Although beaten by Dance Michael earlier in the month, I imagine trap five Isheforreal will be all the rage here. Dance Michael definitely got the run of the race on that occasion and I can’t really see the three dog confirming the form. I am going to oppose the favourite however with the sole wide runner in the race, Benkaat Boomer. Mark Wallis’ dog is no slouch out the traps and could well get a good run on the outside. Take the 4/1 with Betfred
Back Trap 6 Benkaat Boomer at 4/1 with Betfred
10:11pm Romford
A very warm order here in the shape of the Seamus Cahill runner Express Max who was so impressive when winning over course and distance last week. The only wide runner here, Express Max could well have things his own way and looks the most likely winner. Paddy Power go a stand put price of 7/4. If I had to put up an alternative, it would be the three dog, Fired Up Johnny. Although this Henlow raider has a bit to find on the clock, he’s still quite unexposed and there could well be further improvement to come.
Back Express Max at 7/4 with Paddy Power
10:26pm Romford
Another short priced favourite here but another I fully expect to win. Mark Wallis’ Adageo Bob was extremely impressive when winning by over 13 lengths last Friday night and with the plum draw in trap six, I’m finding it very difficult to pick any holes in him. Betfred go top price at 5/4 with most other firms having this greyhound at odds on. The four dog Farley Rio is also a very capable animal and will likely give the favourite most to do. I just feel that he may find a bit of trouble in running.
