Racing Post Greyhound TV Tips Sunderland and Romford July 5th 2013

The RPGTV cameras head to Romford and Sunderland this Friday evening for twenty six exciting races. The Romford card includes twelve opens, while Sunderland host some high class graded action. Darrell Williams takes over the presenting duties for tonight and is joined by Phil Donaldson from the Racing Post as well as former snooker legend Neil Foulds. You can see all tonight’s dog racing live on Sky channel 212 or Freesat channel 401 from 7:15pm. Here are our best bets from Romford and Sunderland.

8:18pm Romford
This Dine in Style at the Pavilion Restaurant Sprint is an open race contest run over the short 225m flat trip. There is a stand out bet for me here and that is the two dog, Slick Sian who can be backed at odds against with Ladbrokes. I was sure this bitch would be odds on tonight and I still believe that she’ll go off at shorter than the 11/10 on offer currently. The blue jacket from the Allsop kennels was successful over course and distance here last week and is now two from three over the trip, the one defeat being a half length second place. Six would be a danger on his best numbers but I just feel that the two dog is more likely to run her race and a repeat of last week’s performance could well be enough to land the money tonight.

9:56pm Romford
This stayers race over 575m is one of the best looking races on tonight’s Romford card. The six dog Cavan Dancer heads the betting for this open contest and she will be seeking a hat-trick of course and distance wins this evening. She’s been well supported early and is as short as 11/10 in places but I’m personally looking to oppose Ernie Gaskin’s runner. Droopys Roulette wearing the white jacket tonight is dropping back in trip but I don’t see that as a negative for the David Mullins runner. He ran 35.77 over course and distance here last month while the favourite’s best time is 35.76. If anything, I’d say Droopys has the better of the draw tonight and I think the 7/2 on offer with Betfred is just too big.
