The live greyhound racing this evening, courtesy of Racing Post Greyhound TV, comes from Romford and Sunderland. Open race fans are in for a real treat, with the whole 13 race card at Romford being top class events, while Sunderland host some interesting graded action. All tonight’s racing can be seen live on Sky channel 212 or Freesat channel 401. The show begins at 7:15 with Errol Blyth presenting alongside Jonathan Kay and Barry Silkman. Onto the tips now and we’ve had a few disappointments this week where there have been some truly shocking results. Let’s see if we can get back to winning ways tonight.

I was very presently surprised when I saw the early prices for this race as I’d had my eye on this race for the past couple of days but I thought my fancy would be odds on so a no bet. Fortunately, Betfred have put the Mark Wallis trained Ayamzaman in at the 11/10 mark. I really don’t see the five dog going off at this price so I’d recommend taking the early. Although he disappointed at Wimbledon behind Laughil George last month when getting no kind of run, Ayamzaman came right back to form here on Monday, slamming Rio Minstrel by seven and a quarter lengths in the heats for this Coral On TV Trophy. The main danger comes from trap four in the shape of Eddie Gaskin’s Shaneboy Ozzy who has been in excellent form, winning his last three starts. That being said, I think we have the slight draw advantage over the black jacket, and I have taken the 11/10 about Mark Wallis’ runner with Betfred.

What a way to end proceedings with this Raising The Game Stayers event, run over a trip of 575m. An excellent field line up here and once again, I’m more than happy with the way the bookmakers have priced up the race. Smiler Jack from the Chris Mosdall kennel crashed out of the William Hill Derby last weekend but he performed with credit during that competition and he’s arguably a much happier greyhound at this venue rather than Wimbledon. Smiler clocked up four wins on the bounce over course and distance back in December and for me is the one they all have to beat tonight. Betfred are going 3/1 which I really did not expect and neither did the Racing Post looking at their tissue, as they have him priced up at 13/8. The one dog Head Iton Tom ran well here last Friday and may prove the biggest obstacle to our selection.
