A double header tonight to enjoy from Racing Post Greyhound TV. To see all the action from Crayford and Romford, simply tune in on Sky Channel 231, or Freesat Channel 402. The coverage starts at 7.15pm and runs right the way through till 10.45pm and the best part is, it’s completely free! Crayford is a mixed graded card while 11 of the 13 races from Romford are open events. Six of which are heats for the Millennium Stand Bookmakers Golden Sprint. There are a number of short priced favourites this evening but I think I’ve managed to identify a couple of value plays where one winner would see us in profit.

The sixth and final heat of the Golden Sprint over 400m sees the Keith Allsop trained Slick Sian put in as the favourite at a best price of 5/2 with William Hill. Wearing the black jacket coming out of trap four tonight, this bitch has been very impressive winning her last four starts over this course and distance. She won here last week when beating Soviet Jessie and does hold every chance tonight. The reason why I am opposing Slick Sian tonight is the fact I think there is basically nothing between her and the three dog Nans Turbo. This greyhound was beaten by the four dog on the 9th of March here but had a nightmare run and has since shown his true form winning his last two starts very well. Their winning times are very similar and I think as a punter you have to be backing the three dog tonight at odds of 7/2 with Ladbrokes.
22:26 Romford
The penultimate race on Romford’s card this evening is a stayers event run over a trip of 575m. There are three dogs that are likely to be contesting for favouritism come race time but currently, only Ladbrokes have priced the event up and they make trap one Bridge Jane their 5/2 market leader. This bitch showed improved form last time to finish second to Aero Joker and for me, a repeat of that effort could well be good enough. There are four rail runners here so the red jacket could be a good advantage for Bridge Jane and I don’t think 5/2 is a bad price at all. Head Iton Tom and Mountjoy Eagles are respected but I just feel that tonight is likely too be a good one for the favourite.
