Shocks aplenty last night in the semi finals at Wimbledon, with Racenight Jenny and Billys Bullet crashing out of the St Leger, while hot favourite for the RFS Puppy Derby Gainstown Beaver was also soundly beaten. Roxholme Dream maintained her unbeaten record in the Leger and is now the 11/8 favourite with Bet365 to win Tuesday’s final. This Saturday evening’s live greyhound racing comes from Crayford and Newcastle, and we have a couple of fancies for the meeting in the south. All tonight’s dog racing can be seen live on Sky channel 212, or Freesat channel 401. Here are our greyhound racing tips for Saturday 8th November.

This second heat of the Kent champion hurdle looks to be at the mercy of trainer Rick Holloway who has the two market principles in the field. Grand National runner up Lenson Razldazl is favourite here at odds of 13/8 and definitely has the form in the book to win this. Having been trialled round here in September, the three dog should acquit himself well. I personally prefer the chances of Holloway’s other runner, Soviet Military. While a lot more exposed than Lenson Razldazl, Soviet Military rarely runs a bad race over this course and distance and looks to have the best of the draw tonight. Take the 15/8 on offer with bet365.

The Crayford Bookmakers Maiden Stakes is an open race run over 540m and offers £200 to the winning connections. Barry O’Sullivan trains both traps five and six, with Daylight Robber in the orange jacket the odds compiler’s idea of the winner. This bitch’s numbers in recent trials have been quite impressive and she should go well on debut. For me, O’Sullivan’s other runner is the value bet at 11/4 with Ladbrokes. Although she has been found wanting in this grade in the past, this doesn’t look like the strongest of open races and I fancy Dash On Black to make the most of being the sole wide runner in this field and dominate on the outside.
