Belle Vue and Romford are the venues for this evening’s live greyhound action on RPGTV. At Belle Vue, we have the semis-finals of the ECC Timber Oaks plus the heats of the ECC Timber Laurels, and at Romford, there is the usual Friday night open race fare. All tonight’s dog racing can be seen live on Sky channel 212, Freesat channel 401, or via the bet365 website. Here are our top greyhound racing tips for Friday 5th December.

The second Laurels Semi Final sees defending champion Mileheight Alba put in as the favourite, and I fancy this greyhound to go sailing through to the final in impressive fashion. Mileheight scored in a time of 27.76 here last week, and is able to once again wear his favoured white jacket. The main dangers are on either side in the form of Invitation Shaw and Jordans Brianna, but I fancy the three dog’s class to tell here this evening. Some firms are odds on about Pat Rosney’s dog, but Paddy Power are offering 5/4 against, and that looks like a cracking value bet to me.

My second selection of the evening goes in the very next race, the third and final Laurels Semi, where I fancy Viking Jack to follow up his impressive victory in the opening round. The sole wide runner in this line up, Jack can have things his own way on the outside while staying out of any potential trouble. Calzaghe George is the bookies favourite here and has gone well in two recent spins over course and distance. I just feel that Viking Jack’s first round win was slightly better and with the draw in his favour, Jim Hayton’s greyhound can make it two from two in this competition. Ladbrokes quote of 5/2 is the best currently on offer, and is one of the best bets on the card for me.
