Greyhound Racing Tips Friday 30th January

It’s the usual Friday night fare on RPGTV this evening, with action from both Romford and Sunderland where there are a total of 26 races for greyhound punters to enjoy. All the dog racing can be seen live on Sky channel 212 and Freesat channel 401. The first race this Friday night is Sunderland’s 7:24pm, with this evening’s programme coming to a climax with Romford’s 10:40pm. Here are our greyhound racing tips for Friday 31st January 2015.

If you have any thoughts or fancies for tonight, feel free to tweet us at @UkGreyhound.

A 400m contest, this open race features a few in-from types and with bet365 going 3/1 the field, there should be some value to be had. The betting is headed by the five dog Bishops Wood who hasn’t been in the best of form in a few races away from Romford, but had been performing rather well over course and distance prior to those three contests(two at Hove, one at Sittingbourne). Ernie Gaskin’s greyhound is definitely the most talented of this bunch, and the return to Romford could well see him in a better light. While I probably wouldn’t be a player at 9/4, the stand out price of 3/1 available at Betfred makes the orange jacket a worthwhile investment. On recent form, the Tito Nacho looks set to be the main danger, but he’s usually seen in graded events, and Bishops Wood should have his measure.

This stayers event would appear to be at the mercy of the Mark Wallis trained Rosealinda, this being the first of three solid chances for the Towcester handler. Rosealinda is the best price of the trio and while she may not quite have the recent numbers to match kennel mate’s Evanta Fantasy and Vanfrenchie, Rosealinda did impress when victorious at Towcester last Thursday. With three previous successes over this course and distance on her CV, the red jacket definitely knows the time of day round here, and may well be able to follow up her recent win. Bitches that come back into form are often worth following, and that is exactly what I’ll be doing here this evening.
