While they may not be the two greatest cards in the world for a Friday night, there are a few decent open races from Romford this evening, as well as a 13 race graded card up at Sunderland. You can see all 26 of tonight’s races live on RPGTV, Sky channel 212 or Freesat channel 401. The action can also be viewed via the bet365 website. Here are our best bets for this Friday evening’s dog racing.
20:02 Romford
The first open contest of the night and one where I feel there may be a touch of value on offer in the form of the three dog, Lets Havit Right. While this bitch does have a bit to find on the book, she has shown bits and pieces in running to suggest she’s a little better than the bare form indicates. Lets Havit Right’s two runs over course and distance this month have not gone to plan but she is capable of blasting out the traps, and a good start tonight could well see her make it third time lucky here at Romford. The rest of the field aren’t exactly world beaters, and this looks a decent opportunity for Mark Wallis’ runner to exploit. Looks the value play of the night to me at 6/1 with Betfred.
Back Trap 3 Lets Havit Right at 6/1 with Betfred
21:40 Romford
The sole wide runner in the field, Elaines Boy can take full advantage of the plum draw in trap six at Romfrod this evening. While this greyhound doesn’t have a fantastic win strike rate, Elaines Boy has shown improved form on his last two starts, and a repeat of his effort when finishing second to Lodge Boy here last week might well be good enough to land this 400m contest. The main danger for me might well come from the veteran Bonamassa Rocks, but I just feel that Elaines Boy has a great opportunity here in the striped jacket. Ladbrokes quote of 3/1 is big s far as I’m concerned.
