Greyhound Racing Comes to Sky Sports Racing

Arena Racing Company (ARC) have secured a deal with Sky Sports which will see greyhound racing broadcast with the satellite provider on a regular basis. Meetings from ARC and Greyhound Media Group (“GMG”) greyhound stadia will be shown on Sky Sports Racing (Sky channel 415) beginning Wednesday 3rd February 2020. Although Sky do not show joka-room online casino Australia action, the arrival of daily UK dog racing is sure to exciting fans up and down the country. At launch, the schedule will feature Nottingham on Mondays and Fridays, Sheffield on Tuesdays and Saturdays, Newcastle on Wednesdays and Thursdays and Swindon on Sundays.

Mark Kingston, Director of Media Technology and Production at ARC said, “Sky Sports Racing coverage is great news for greyhound racing. We are delighted to work with the team at At The Races to expand significantly on the amount of live greyhound racing that the channel will broadcast and offer the sport a hugely valuable home for mainstream coverage, seven days   a week.

“Swindon coverage last year confirmed that there is a following for high quality Open and Graded greyhound fixtures on Sky Sports Racing. We will revise the schedule over time to ensure that we bring viewers the very best of the greyhound fixtures across all ARC and GMG tracks.”

While greyhound racing has been shown on various Sky Sports channels over the years, this type of sustained coverage is a real coup for the sport. Particularly during difficult times for everyone involved in the sport due to the pandemic and falling revenue. It appears that the coverage will begin at 6pm each day and conclude at the end of each meeting. Once the greyhound racing is over each night, sites such as https://www.cinemacasino.com/casino-games/ are going to prove popular with a variety of punters.
