Thursday evening’s helping of Racing Post Greyhound TV comes from both Henlow and Hove. To watch tonight’s live dog racing, simply tune in on Sky Channel 231, or Freesat Channel 402. The show begins at 7.15pm, with the first live race going off at 7.25pm. You can then watch live greyhound racing right the way through until 10.45pm. Henlow is a 12 race card with 9 open races, while Hove is also a 12 race card, which includes 6 opens. It’s rare for both the meetings on this channel to have such high quality action so viewers are in for an exciting evening.
The Mark Wallis trained Aero Majestic goes for his fifth win in six races here and this ultra consistent greyhound comes into the race with every chance of doing just that. The early price of even money on offer with bet365 will definitely appeal to a lot of punters but I’m goin got take a chance on 4/1 shot Blackrose Bullet. Eric Cantillon’s runner pushed Aero Majestic hard here when they met earlier this month and only went down by two lengths. The draw could well level things up tonight and I think this unexposed greyhound is definitely the value bet. Ballymac William out of the two box is also no back number and he could well be a danger.
I always try and keep my tips on here at odds against wherever possible, but the Derek Knight trained Hats My Lady looks like she will be extremely hard to beat here and could well go off shorter than the early price of 4/5 that bet365 have chalked her up at. This young bitch had three starts at Crayford recently, and while unspectacular, were fairly solid efforts. Her best form round here is head and shoulders above anything else in the field and she is also likely to appreciate being back on home turf. While the draw might not be perfect, I think she has the early pace to be clear of any danger. The six dogcame back to form last time and has a plum draw but I’d want to see one or two more decent efforts from her before going in at anything like 7/2.
William Hill are sponsors of this year’s Greyhound Derby and offer excellent greyhound racing coverage on their website.
