Cesarewitch
The Cesarewitch is a greyhound competition staged at Oxford Greyhound Stadium and takes place in June. The Cesarewitch is run over a trip of 645m. The event was previously staged at Catford over a trip of 718m from 1995 to 2000, at Belle Vue over 880yds from 1972 to 1974, 815m 1975 to 1984 and 1987 and 853m in 1985 and 1986 as well as 1988 to 1994. Prior to that, the event was held at West Ham over 880yds, 600yds and 550yds from 1928 to 1971.
The current prize money for the Oxford Cesarewitch is £5,000 and the event is sponsored by William Hill. Hove raiders have a good record in this competition.
